Pingdong Night Market 屏東夜市


I visited Pingdong, my mom's hometown in southern Taiwan this afternoon. We stopped by the Night Market to taste some local flavors. We visited one of my mom's favorite places in the Night Market. This 60+ year stall (#27) specializes in sausages and chitterlings. We had some rice noodle, sausages, fried meat balls, and assorted cuts of meat. Most dishes were drizzled with special sauce, chili sauce, and topped with julienne ginger. Of course, if the seasonings are not enough, there's a bowl of freshly minced garlic on each table for customers(very strong too) . The owner also offered free self-served soup for customers.

今天南下去屏東, 理所當然地就要去屏東民族路夜市吃東西. 我媽每次都要來吃這家叫"圓順"上讚肉圓粉腸 (27號攤位),已營業六十多年的老店來品嚐它專門的粉腸熟肉等等. 我們四人點了不同的拼盤,有粉腸,糯米腸,生腸,大腸,豬舌,米粉,還有肉圓(一個拼盤一百圓台幣). 店裡還附"感情湯",就是免費給客人舀的湯(柴魚風味的湯加上芹菜珠). 切好的熟肉都淋上特別的沾醬,辣椒醬,還有薑絲. 嫌味道不夠的話桌上還有一碗味道十足的蒜末. 我呢,嘴裡因火氣大破了個洞, 吃這幾味吃得可是又痛又爽ㄚ.

Wow, yummy!! How I miss the Taiwan night market! I now officially have "the craving" after 4 months of pregnancy..well, after looking at these photos!!=) Enjoy your time there, Sandy!
